WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!
The Sandlot is a family owned business established over 35 years ago. The founder, Bob Wisor, received his degree in Horticulture from Auburn and established Aesthetic Landscape Services, Inc. (ALS) in Midland Georgia. He served Columbus and the surrounding area in landscaping and design until his retirement from landscaping in 2009. In 2010, ALS re-opened as The Sandlot to serve customers by providing top quality products at fair prices with excellent service.

Through the years, The Sandlot has become a place for customers to shop and visit. Bob is happy to chat about his experience with various products, plants, and much more. In 2013, Bob fulfilled a life-long dream of selling Christmas trees. His family stepped in to help during the season, and they fell in love with the Sandlot also. Christmas is a very important time for the Sandlot, as our mission is to become a part of family traditions. We are not in the business of Christmas trees, we are in the business of CHRISTMAS and everything it represents. We celebrate with our customers with Christmas carols, ornament making, children’s play area and so much more. We even have an annual Christmas party open to everyone with hotdogs, hot chocolate and s’mores!

In 2018, Chris Symonds, son-in-law, took a step of faith and left his job of 11 years and joined Bob at the helm of The Sandlot. His enthusiasm and passion has sparked even more products and services.
